There are lots of trade shows about coffee and a few of them let consumers drop in and watch. CoffeeCon is the 100% consumer coffee event designed just for you, the specialty coffee enthusiast. We have 40+ exhibitors excited to talk about coffee with you. The roasters and equipment manufacturers will serve their very best coffee for the ultimate sampling experience. CoffeeCon is much more than just the world’s biggest coffee tasting. Five breakout spaces will be running hourly classes on every aspect of coffee brewing and the coffee experience. Professional tasting experts will each lead sessions in our Taste Like an Expert series on how to expand your mind and taste buds, teaching you palate development in an extra ticketed class limited to 100 attendees. All the other classes are included in the admission ticket, including other making your own Chemex, Cold brew, Turkish “ibrik” method, Siphon brewing, Home Roasting, Four-Way Flight where one coffee is brewed using four different methods, then sampled to demonstrate how brewing impacts the final taste. We even have a Science of Coffee class where you’ll learn all about how this little fruit seed becomes a bean we smash and pour hot water over to make the most heavenly concoction called, “coffee”. New for 2018 will be Taste-O-Rama, a series of sensory development experiences, where you can taste the difference between washed, natural and honey processed coffees, all included with your basic ticket.
